TILED PEDESTRIAN DECK FINISH

GENERAL INFORMATION

These tiled deck systems are primarily designated for external walk-out/activity areas.

These particular systems are composed of either reinforced cured highbuild acrylic or rubberised bitumen membranes, usually for small decks; and torch-on (sheet) membranes , for larger deck areas. These membrane systems are applied direct to substrate and overlaid with a direct adhered tiled matrix. The substrates are normally composed of concrete or plywood.

In some strata developments there is a requirement for certain standards to be met for vertical sound transmission between tiled deck levels. In these circumstances extra sound reducing mediums must be incorporated into the tile underlayment to meet the required sound reduction standard.
