COATED PLAIN ROOF MEMBRANE SYSTEMS

GENERAL INFORMATION

These plain membrane systems are primarily designated for exposed application to roof areas and in particular internal gutters. They are normally applied to plywood, compressed sheet or concrete substrates.

The new NZ code of practise for torch-on membranes stipulates a double layer system inclusive of an overcoat for all new housing/apartment projects in New Zealand. This ensures compliance with the Department of Building & Housing current acceptable solutions (E2) criteria. There are some options for a single sheet membrane system for some Recreational/Commercial Institutional Building projects.
