INTERNAL TILED WET AREAS/SHOWER CUBICLES

GENERAL INFORMATION

These membrane systems are composed of either a rubberised bituminous emulsion or high build acrylic applied direct to a closed cell polyurethane or concrete plaster shower base plus villaboard or concrete wall substrates. These are then tiled over and the Tiled finish is primarily designated for internal walk-in shower activity.

This membrane system acts as a water barrier below the horizontally and vertically applied tiled finish. The membrane itself also creates a padded substrate for superior adhesion of the tiled overlay.

In some rare circumstances extra sound reducing mediums must be incorporated into the tile underlayment to meet required sound reduction standards between different levels in a strata development.
